Synergistic Modification of PVC with Nitrogen-Containing Heterocycle and Tung-Oil Based Derivative for Enhanced Heat Stabilization and Plasticization Behavior

The additives present in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) materials are the major source of organic by-products during PVC degradation. thermal stabilizer and plasticizer main that endow with required properties its processing. However, these two easily migrate when samples obtained by physical mixing PVC. This causes reduction sample efficacy increase formation radiolysis process. In this work, kinds grafted (tung-oil derivative Atz PVC, abbreviated as P-GT4 P-AZ3) were synthesized chemical grafting 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole (Atz) tung-oil on respectively. These then blended at different mass ratios to obtain hybrid excellent plasticization, stability migration resistance ability. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), discoloration, Congo red test thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) showed ratio P-AZ3 mixed resin was 1:3, resulting P1:3-GT4-AZ3 (P4) presented best plasticization stability. kinetics decomposition activation energy P4 much higher than reference material [PVC/DOTP/CaSt2/ZnSt2, PVC/CZ41 for short] loss α = 20% 80%. addition, leaching possessed
